Hydrating Antioxidant Spray By Elizabeth Arden Pro – Reviewed

The Hydrating Antioxidant Spray is another winner from Elizabeth Arden Pro. It’s one of those products that you don’t realise how useful it’s going to be until you have it. It’s a light mist that can be used to quickly to hydrate the face and neck during the day. As well as containing moisturising humectants it also has powerful and protective anti-oxidants.

The key ingredients are:

Sodium Hylauronate – Otherwise known as Hyaluronic Acid, this is the much lauded ingredient that holds 1000 times its weight in water. It’s also naturally occurring in the skin but levels decline with age.

Ferulic Acid – Found in plant cell walls this helps fight free-radical damage.

Resveratrol – Like Ferulic Acid, this is another superstar anti-oxidant that helps increase collagen production and protect against cell damage.

White Tea – Derived from the Camellia plant and it is also high in antioxidents.

Ergothioneine – This is an amino acid antioxidant that has been shown to repair damage to mitochondrial DNA.

Carnosine – Another amino acid that has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

Saccharomyces Ferment Filtrate – This is the main ingredient found in essences such as SK-II Facial Treatment Essence and helps with brightening, collagen production and hydration.

I’ve been using Hydrating Antioxidant Spray in between a serum and moisturiser for an extra hydration boost and during the day to refresh and top up on hydration. It’s also good to use instead of a moisturiser under an SPF product. As it’s a mist, it’s obviously light in feel and texture but it absorbs well and makes a tangible difference to how skin feels. It doesn’t just give a couple of seconds of relief then evaporate leaving skin feeling drier than before like some face mists.

I’ve tried quite a few of the Elizabeth Arden Pro products now and I rate them all so highly. The formulations are extremely advanced and contain clinically proven ingredients. Their philosophy is based on the Skin Health Pyramid which most dermatologists refer to when recommending skincare to their patients.

Another positive is that Hydrating Antioxidant Mist is very reasonably priced at £25 for 100ml.
